Obamacare Bill Unable to Get Votes in House

Ultimately, House GOP leaders couldn’t get the votes yesterday to pass the Helping Sick Americans Now Act, which would have transferred billions from an Obamacare fund to fund insurance for those with pre-existing conditions who are unable to buy affordable insurance, and the bill was pulled. As I wrote yesterday, conservative House Republicans were very concerned about the legislation, and extending any part of Obamacare, even by depleting funds from another part of Obamacare. Conservative groups were split on the issue: Americans for Tax Reform and Freedomworks backed it, and Club for Growth opposed it.
