A Debate on Global Threats in the Age of Austerity
At High Noon in Washington on Wednesday, National Review and the Heritage Foundation will be co-hosting a debate on “Global Threats in the Age of Austerity.” I will have the honor of co-moderating with Heritage’s Jim Carafano — my strategy for looking smart is to nod solemnly whenever Jim says something. We’ve assembled four very well-informed speakers, representative of a broad range of views: AEI’s Danielle Pletka, former senator Jim Talent (now a distinguished fellow at Heritage), Mark Jacobson of the Truman National Security Project, and Lawrence Korb of the Center for American Progress.
It should make for a great one-hour discussion. Again, the festivities get under way at Heritage at 12 p.m. Details about attending and about watching online are here.
