Paul Krugman Says Something Non-Vituperative and Sensible

by Reihan Salam

Wow. Regular readers know I’ve been harping on this point about regressive taxes ever since I first read Monica Prasad and Peter Lindert. I’ll just note that this reality-based stance contradicts much of what Krugman has been writing about tax cuts for the rich for years and years, but I won’t hold my breath for a mea culpa.

The next time Paul Krugman says something non-vituperative and sensible, expect an emu in The Bronx to give birth to a miniature velociraptor while a child-sized starship hovers overhead and meteors made from Swedish meatballs pierce the Earth’s atmosphere.
