Thoughts on the Fiscal Commission

Last week, I posted a summary of the health care provisions of the proposal from the President’s Fiscal Commission. Today, over on the NRO main page, I’ve offered my thoughts on the substance of those proposals.

While the Commission’s report does contain a few constructive ideas on taxes and Social Security, its health care proposals are irresponsibly weak, especially on Medicaid, and shouldn’t serve as the basis for future reform. Read the whole thing here.
