I was pleased to see Charles Kenny cite Michele Boldrin and David Levine in his sensible new column on how excessive patent protection stymies growth and innovation. Boldrin and Levine are best understood as the “jihad wing” of patent reformers, as they go much further than most, including myself, in calling for the outright dismantling of intellectual property protections.
