Vice President Joe Biden spoke to an audience of roughly 700 at Penn State today in Central Pennsylvania.
Battle ‘10 was there, and will recap his remarks throughout the evening.
Biden on the GOP and the Tea Party:
“I don’t think the people are going to give them a chance again if we make the case, if we’re honest with them. This is not your father’s Republican Party. This is the Republican Tea Party, no this is a different deal, guys. This is not Bob Dole. This is not Howard Baker. This is not straightforward conservative, conservative Republicans, like the Tafts of the world. This is a different breed of cat.”
“Folks,” continued the vice president. “if we allow this to be a referendum on whether people are happy where they are now, we’ll lose, and we’ll deserve to lose if we make it a referendum. … We have to do everything we can to make this a choice, an honest choice.”
