Slaphappy in CO-7: Perlmutter Slaps Frazier (Literally–w/video) Over Health Care; Candidates Exchange Verbal Jabs

Democratic Rep. Ed Perlmutter and GOP challenger Ryan Frazier verbally sparred over many issues, from energy and taxes to foreign policy and the national debt. But it was during an exchange over health care, and the health care bill itself, that Perlmutter swats Frazier’s hand. Frazier quickly responded and Perlmutter apologized immediately:

“Ed, don’t hit me man, come on!” said Frazier.

Perlmutter apologized immediately, “Sorry. Sorry. You’re right. Sorry. You’re right.”

The debate wrapped up with Perlmutter and Frazier arguing over the other candidate’s voting record. For Frazier, it was Perlmutter’s synchronicity with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that was most troubling, while for Perlmutter, it was Frazier’s attendance record in Aurora City Council meetings that was most problematic.
