Each time the buzz over Tea Party of Nevada candidate and potential U.S. Senate race spoiler Scott Ashjian dies down, another story seems to rear its ugly head. Nevada blogger Dullard Mush received an interesting mailer for Ashjian this week, quipping, “This one should get the conspiracy buffs in a lather.” 

Conspicuously absent from the mail piece is the customary “paid for by” language, so it is impossible to tell from where the mailer originated. On the back of the piece appears the text, “Call Scott Ashjian at 702-940-9200 and tell him to support a Balanced Budget Amendment and Preserve the United States Constitution” so one could reasonably surmise the sender is a fiscally conservative third party group.

Or maybe that language was included by a Democrat-friendly group to throw people off the scent.

As Mush concludes, “Somewhere, Harry Reid is smiling.”
