IOWA: TUSK AND TALON [David Hogberg 10/21 02:46 PM]
My friend, Jeff Cordts, who lives near Des Moines, talks about GOP get-out-the-vote efforts in Polk County at his Iowa-based blog, Tusk and Talon. In 2000, Iowa went for Gore by only about 4,100 votes. Polk County went for Gore by 10,000 votes. So any dent the GOP makes there is significant. Jeff reports that the efforts look quite good.
He also has some thoughts on some local ballot measures that might affect the outcome in Polk County. One seems to benefit Kerry, the other Bush, so it seems to be a wash.
