PENNSYLVANIA: CHAD CHASERS [Chris Lilik 10/24 03:17 PM]

An Associated Press story suggests that if you need to find a Pennsylvania lawyer on November 2nd, all you need to do is head to the closest voting booth.

"More than 2,000 lawyers plan to volunteer their services to the presidential campaigns on Nov. 2, advocating for their voters who run afoul of new balloting requirements and gathering evidence for potential litigation that could become critical in what is expected to be a close race," states the AP. And that's not even including the Election Day Task Force of 100 that Democrat Governor Ed Rendell and the Commonwealth have arranged to volunteer at your local voting hole.

Pennsylvania won't be the only state with a hoard of lawyers at the polls. "Democratic National Chairman Terry McAuliffe boasts that his party has mobilized and trained 10,000 lawyers to police the 2004 elections," reports the Newhouse News Service, which adds that state GOP officials have thousands all around the county as well.
Talon News adds that "nearly 30,000 precincts have been targeted by both sides as competitive or potentially problematic, and lawyers will be present...ready to intervene if they see problems or gather evidence
for a later court case."
