WISCONSIN: IN MADISON [Kathryn Jean Lopez 10/28 09:04 AM]

An e-mail:

I am a lawyer living in Madison. Check out Ann Althouse's post on instapundit this morning. She's absolutely right about people flowing into town. Driving to my office for some late night work, I passed several cars with out of state license plates full of young people headed downtown. Our mayor is a liberal Democrat (big surprise), and he's decided to open the clerk's office until 8 p.m. to allow absentee voting. It's a sham.

No doubt about it, the rally will be HUGE. It's about 5 blocks from campus,
and this town is obviously pro-Kerry. So why does he feel a need to campaign here instead of say, Florida, just a week before the election? I look at it as a positive.
