IOWA: A LITTLE IOWA HUMOR [Brian Kennedy 10/28 08:37 PM]
This morning on a local call in radio program the host was conducting an on air straw poll which President Bush won in a landslide. One of these callers proudly declared that he was voting for “Caldwell Banker.” The perplexed host asked the caller to repeat his endorsement and the caller again proudly offered “Caldwell Banker.” The host took the bait and asked why. The caller explained the Caldwell Banker had the best looking yard signs and was the most honest candidate by putting “For Sale” right on his signs. After months of being subjected to literally thousands of negative television commercials it’s probably a good sign that Iowans’ haven’t lost what passes for our senses of humor.
