PENNSYLVANIA: MONTGOMERY COUNTY POLLS HAVE LINES GOING OUT THE DOOR [Chris Lilik 11/02 06:51 PM]
From Young Conservatives Of Pennsylvania Montgomery County Chair Alex Charyna:
At 9 AM I arrived at the Collegeville impromptu Bush/Cheney 04
office. My job was to drive from poll to poll (5 in all) to pick up
"tear sheets" which are marked to identify which registered
Republicans have voted. I did this at 10:30, 1:30 and 4:30. At each
polling place there were lines out the door.I was wearing a
Bush/Cheney '04 hat and only got compliments. In the downtimes,
between runs, I would call the Rs who did not yet vote. We were also
offering rides to the polls, though no one took us up on it.
Note: Montgomery County is a massive swing county in SEPA with a
Republican voter edge. In 2000 Gore won it 54%-44%.
