OHIO: LAWSUITS & LONG LINES II [Kevin Holtsberry 11/02 09:45 PM]
As far as I can tell the last minute suit to require county board of elections to issue paper or provisional ballots is having no effect. Neither party seemed to know what the verdict actually meant and so no changes were implemented.
As before, those who were in line when the polls closed will be allowed to vote. This means people might still be voting here in Ohio for some time.
High turnout among young voters may be helping Kerry but high turnout for the amendment against same sex mariage may be helping Bush. Moral issues appear to be on equal footing with the war and the economy in many voters' minds. This is an advantage for President Bush. Could, however, be a long night.
