Re: Special Delivery

Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch writes to tell me that he and his colleagues tried to get President Bush to rescind Clinton’s undelivered pardons in early 2001, to no avail.  Opinions vary about Judicial Watch, but here’s an interesting tidbit Fitton pointed me to: on Larry King’s CNN program on February 26, 2001, Julian Epstein, the Democrats’ chief counsel on the House Judiciary Committee at that time, remarked that Bush could have done it, saying “President Bush actually has the legal ability to rescind these pardons if they haven’t been delivered.”
