Once again, the Supreme Court will weigh in on the federal government’s authority to detain alleged enemy combatants.  Last Friday, the Court accepted cert in Al-Marri v. Pucciarelli, a case concerning the federal government’s authority to detain an alleged enemy combatant domestically without filing criminal charges.  For more see this SCOTUSBlog post.  Orin Kerr has more thoughts here.
