Re: Records in Sight for Justice Stevens


It’s also worth noting that Justice Stevens is the immediate successor to Justice Douglas.  Between them, the two have occupied the same seat since April 1939—for nearly seventy years.  During that same time, there have been seven chief justices and some 33 or so associate justices for the seven other seats.
