State AG vs. Citizens

Text

A follow-up to my post last week on Karen Lee Torre’s criticism of the Connecticut supreme court’s invention of a right to same-sex marriage:  In her second installment, Torre exposes state attorney general Richard Blumenthal’s sabotaging of the state’s case—and the supreme court’s bait-and-switch in refusing to consider grounds that Blumenthal neglected and that an amicus argued.

In the California marriage case, state AG Jerry (“Moonbeam”) Brown similarly undermined the state’s case.  (See 2nd and 3rd paragraphs here.)  With friends like these supposedly representing the interests of the citizens, who needs enemies?
