Agee Sworn In

Text

G. Steven Agee was recently sworn in as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, having been confirmed by the Senate on May 20, as the WaPo reports (Hat tip: How Appealing). His swearing in only underscores the Senates exceedingly slow pace at confirming federal judges.

NOTE: Just to clarify, my point is that the alacrity with which the Senate considered and confirmed Judge Agee is notable because it is so atypical, and his swearing in is “news” because so little is happening with judicial nominations overall.
