Giuliani’s Judge Pickers

by Jonathan H. Adler

This week, Rudy Giuliani will announce the members of his “Justice Advisory Committee,” an informal group of advisors who will be advising the campaign on legal issues, including judicial nominations. Former Bush Solicitor General Ted Olson will chair the group, which will also include former Deputy AG Larry Thompson and filibustered judicial nominee Miguel Estrada.  The Giuliani campaign hopes the announcement of the committee will reassure conservatives who are concerned that his liberal positions on some social issues could influence his selection of judicial nominees.
