D.C. Circuit Deep Sixes D.C. Gun Ban

In a potentially important ruling, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit struck down the District of Columbia’s de facto gun ban on Friday.  The 2-1 decision in Parker v. District of Columbia embraced the individual rights interpretation of the Second Amendment (otherwise know as the “standard model,” given its prevalence in the academic literature).  Many court watchers believe this case is primed for Supreme Court review, so it is definitely one to watch.
