The White House wasted relatively little time in selecting a nominee to replace Judge Gladys Kessler on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Today the Legal Times reports that the White House will nominate “White House insider” Dabney Friedrich to the vacancy created by Judge Kessler’s shift to senior status. Friedrich worked in the White House Counsel’s office and is currently a member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission.
