Evening Wear

Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Kennedy, Breyer, and Alito just entered the House chamber for the State of the Union, and Brit Hume on Fox remarked that although they were not there to hear legal arguments, they were wearing their judicial robes anyway.  “It probably helps them get better seats,” said Hume, tongue firmly in cheek.  Do you suppose it would work to cut in line at an Outback steakhouse?  I have doctoral robes.  Maybe I’ll try it some time.
