Senate Restores Pay Raise

One of the Democratic Senate’s first actions was to separate judicial pay from Congressional pay.  Lawmakers had voted to postpone their own pay raises (pending an increase in the minimum wage), which had the effect of postponing cost-of-living adjustments for judges as well.  Now, however, the Senate has voted to let the judicial pay raise go through on its own, and the House is expected to follow suit.  The AP report is here .
