Back to Battle?

The Corner notes and AP reports that President Bush renominated the five appellate judges returned by the Senate before the August recess: Terrence Boyle, Michael Wallace, Randy Smith, Wiliam Myers, and Michael Haynes. As one might expect, a spokesman for Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid called the move “extremely divisive.” The real question is whether this is too little, too late to make judges a campaign issue in the fall.
