PFAW Sinks Even Lower

After its mendacious attacks on Chief Justice Roberts and Justice Alito, People for the American Way manages to sink even lower with this screed against Fourth Circuit nominee William J. (“Jim”) Haynes, whose second hearing takes place tomorrow.  Most vile is PFAW’s suggestion that Haynes, who has devoted the past five years of his life to tireless service as DOD general counsel, ought to be facing criminal charges:  “while he might belong in a courtroom, it shouldn’t be as a judge.”

Especially with the benefit of hindsight, reasonable minds may well offer responsible criticism of various measures taken to ensure the nation’s security.  But PFAW has shown no inclination to be reasonable or responsible.
