Justice Clarence Thomas has hired Will Consovoy to be a clerk in his chambers. Will is the first George Mason University School of Law grad to land a Supreme Court clerkship. It should also be noted that Justice Thomas continues his trend of being the least elitist of any justices in his clerk hiring practices (something for which the late Chief Justice Rehnquist was also known). David Bernstein has details here , and Paul Horwitz adds some commentary here . Congratulations to Will (and to our alma mater).
