Alito vs. the White Witch

For those of you in the D.C. area, I would like to highlight that next Tuesday, January 17 (at 5:30 p.m.), the Ethics and Public Policy Center (the organization I head) will be hosting a discussion by John Miller (of National Review) and by Gregg Easterbrook (author of The Progress Paradox and, perhaps of special interest to Bench Memos readers, brother of Judge Frank Easterbrook) on “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and the Moral Imagination.” For more information and to register to attend, see here.

I hope to see you — and to celebrate Judge Alito’s passage out of Judiciary Committee that same day (unless, that is, the Dems fail to keep their word to Senator Specter on not holding the nomination over for a week).
