This Bruce Ain’t the Boss

Today at the Washington Times, Bruce Fein is back with more sound and fury about President Bush’s alleged “claim of wartime omnipotence” in authorizing NSA surveillance without warrants. This time he offers up several paragraphs on Franklin Roosevelt’s internment of scores of thousands of Japanese resident aliens and citizens during World War II, but without a whisper of a hint of a scintilla of a suggestion why we should consider that historical example instructive regarding the present controversy. For more good sense than will be heard from the first ten lawyers you can grab at random off a Washington Street, see this column by Rich Lowry.
