That will be the charge after this Newsday story on Miers’ poor management of properties in a low-income minority neighborhood. The city of Dallas apparently slapped several liens on Miers’ properties for failing to maintain them adequately. While the value of the liens was miniscule, “the failure of Miers, a former Dallas City Council member, to comply with city law and her slow response in reimbursing the city run counter to her image as a meticulous, detail-oriented attorney who is always well prepared.”
