National Review Online’s Bench Memos blog was launched in May 2005 as a conservative clearinghouse for all things legal and judicial. The blog’s authors include some of the brightest legal minds of the day, with analysis touching on Supreme Court rulings, nomination proceedings for federal judgeships, legal precedent, judicial philosophy, and all matters pertaining to the Constitution. A regular feature of the blog is “This Day in Judicial Activism,” authored by Ed Whelan.
