A rival campaign (guess who) spotlights this tough anti-Mitt campaign ad, created by two ad guys, Stuart Stevens and Russ Schriefer… who now work for Mitt Romney.
It basically could be entitled, “All of the Old Comments From the 1994 and 2002 Campaigns that Mitt Romney Wishes Would Go Away.”
They used to work for John McCain.
He approves this message. Well, not really, as it isn’t his voice at the end. Strange. Do ads usually get a stand-in for that last line, until the candidate can issue his approval?
Meanwhile, Team Romney is going after John McCain… for an ad he ran in the 2000 race?
I guess the argument is, “Let he who has never approved an attack ad cast the first stone.”
