Maybe No Runoff for Nikki Haley?

Wow. With 87 percent of precincts reporting, South Carolina gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley has 48.9 percent; she needs one vote over 50 percent to avoid a runoff. Rep. Gresham Barrett’s 21.4 percent looks weaker as the night wears on. This may be enough of a stunning rebuke to the state’s establishment — and her accusers — to make her runoff not quite as tough as I thought earlier this evening.
