Sharron Angle, Electoral Powerhouse
Hey, remember when some guy said that Sharron Angle had a lot of baggage and endangered the GOP’s chances of beating Harry Reid in Nevada?
Yeah, ignore that guy, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, at least according to Rasmussen.
Sharron Angle, following her come-from-behind Republican Primary win Tuesday, has bounced to an 11-point lead over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in Nevada’s closely-watched U.S. Senate race.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Nevada, taken Wednesday night, shows Angle earning 50% support while Reid picks up 39% of the vote. Five percent (5%) like some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.
Now, it’s worth noting that since the beginning of the year, Rasmussen has shown Angle over Reid by a wider margin than other pollsters. And Harry Reid hasn’t really begun the barrage of attack ads yet. But Sue Lowden certainly ran negative ads against Angle, and they didn’t seem to have much impact.
