No, Really: Charlie Crist’s Campaign Now Pitching Him as the ‘Honest’ and ‘Loyal’ Candidate

The Charlie Crist for Senate campaign offers a video, in which folks are asked to describe the Republican-turned-independent candidate in a word. The first two words are “honest” and “loyal.”

The guy broke an explicit, definitive, Shermanesque pledge that he would run as a Republican, made on national television.

He pledged to support the GOP candidate for Senate.

Words don’t mean anything anymore, do they?

I don't know if I could use the word I'm thinking of (it's sponsored by Alphabet Bombs).

Seriously, "pragmatic" is the one word that's even close to the truth.

Indeed, strikes me as a pretty direct contrast to the state of things described by Fred Thompson in his Ricochet Podcast interview, discussing his youth in Tennessee. (Podcast here, entry of May 23, 2010.)

I bet they got those people to say those words by asking them to describe Marco Rubio.

Charlie Crist has problems, serious serious problems. I seriously hope that he loses in November.
