Contemplating the Proper Salt Intake When Reading a Particular Poll . . .


Over on the home page, a look at Public Policy Polling, a firm that earned its status as a media favorite by conducting lots of polls, providing detailed interpretations of what it thinks the results mean, asking timely and probing questions that hone in on the political world’s interests, and even hosting online polls about which race it should poll next . . . but that also is all too rarely identified as a Democratic firm, whose leaders donate to candidates in races they poll, who neglect to mention their polling work for the candidates in races they poll, and who have samples that seem a bit Democrat-heavy for a year like this.
