Charlie Crist vs. Harry Reid: Who Do We Believe? Must We Choose?

Florida Senate candidate Charlie Crist says he’s talked to Senate majority leader Harry Reid about caucusing with the Democrats if Crist is elected as an independent. Harry Reid says flatly that they haven’t talked in months.

Based on what we know of the two men, I’d conclude they’re both lying.

They COULD both be lying:

Crist:
(phone ringing, Harry Reid picks up)

Harry, Charlie here, it's time we talk about my caucusing with the Democrats after the election..

Reid: NOT YET! (hangs up)

How desperate is Crist for votes from registered Democrat voters? I mean this is basically an act of waving a sign in the face of Independent and Republican voters(not to mention the more fiscally conservative of the Democrat voters) currently thinking of supporting Crist to the effect of "A vote for Charlie is a vote for Harry and Nancy". It reeks of desperation or stupidity or a combination of both. Claiming that you have already arraigned to caucus with a Reid led bunch of politicians basically means that Charlie now has to defend all of Harry's agenda: ObamaCare, Cap and Tax, FIN/REG from here on out. Hope Rubio never lets people forget that it's the Charlie and Harry show
