Now Harry Reid Says He Trusts David Petraeus

Now Harry Reid insists that when he said, “this war is lost,” referring to Iraq in 2007, he meant that he agreed with Gen. David Petraeus.

Of course, Harry Reid said, “I don’t believe him,” when discussing Petraeus’s testimony during an appearance on CNN’s The Situation Room, on April 23, 2007.

I’m reminded of Detective Munch from the opening episode of Homicide: “You’re saving up all your good lies for some smarter cop, is that it?”
