This year’s Michigan Republican gubernatorial primary pitted several of the state’s top Republicans against each other, with “tough nerd” businessman Rick Snyder winning the nomination and state attorney general Mike Cox, Rep. Peter Hoekstra, and Oakland County sheriff Mike Bouchard left on the outside looking in.

Well, gentlemen, one door closes, and another door opens. Public Policy Polling finds incumbent Democrat senator Debbie Stabenow at 38 percent approval, 50 percent disapproval.
