Some might find it jumps around a bit, but the theme is pretty clear: compared to private-sector workers, unionized public-sector workers get a pretty sweet deal once their benefits and pensions are thrown in with their salaries. Those high salaries fund union dues; those dues fund the organizations that keep Democratic lawmakers in power (or try to); the lawmakers then make sure that the public sector pay, benefits and pensions remain high and untouchable. That is what the recent fights in state capitols are about, and it is clear whose side President Obama is on.
It is never too late for truth. This may have started in WI, and the first round goes to the tax-layers. However, just as in racing - don't let off the gas when you've got the lead!
I do find it interesting that the media seems to always overlook the $40,000 plus in benefits paid to Federal workers and state union teachers when discussing federal and state worker's pay. so when the media says they make $57,000 dollars they really make $57,000 plus another $40,000 in paid benefits. $57,000 plus $40,000 equals $97,000 or more per year. That is roughly between $40,000 to $50,000 more than the private sector workers who pay the Fed and State worker's wages, benefits and pensions.
We must be really charitable or just plain stupid and remember, once they get on the taxpayer paid public dole it is forever as they retire with the highest pensions in the country. What! you say they can't be fired even when they don't do their job correctly. You private working slugs had better work harder or work more hours as the public sector wages, benefit and pensions continue to grow while yours continue to shrink and disappear.
This is a very well done look at what is going on with the public unions. I wish every American had the opportunity to view it-it really brings it all down to the truth. Something we have been sorely missing.
Yeah, we know. That is the racket Gov. Walker just addressed in Wisconsin, and is being addressed elsewhere as well. About time, but much too late.
Sickening isn't it.

Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseObama is beholden to the unions, so he will never bite the hand that feeds him.
Reply to this commentLinkReport AbuseMaybe I am wrong but that last part may have been taken out of context. It sort of sounds like it. But I agree with the message of the ad.
