The president’s schedule, today:
In the afternoon, the President will travel to the Philadelphia area. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at the Philadelphia International Airport are open press. The President will visit Gamesa Technology Corporation in Fairless Hills, where he will hold a town hall discussion with workers about building a 21st century clean energy economy to win the future. The President will discuss his long-term plan to protect consumers against rising oil prices and decrease oil imports as well as key components of his broader energy plan to diversify all of our energy sources, ensuring a cleaner, safer, and more secure energy future. The President’s town hall discussion is open press.
Later in the afternoon, the President will travel to New York, New York. The departure from Philadelphia International Airport and the arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport are open press.In the evening, the President will deliver remarks at the National Action Network’s Keepers of the Dream Awards Gala, hosted by Reverend Al Sharpton and the National Action Network, at the Sheraton New York Hotel. The President’s remarks are pooled for TV and open to correspondents and still photographers.
He’ll put in as much time as needed . . . unless, you know, Al Sharpton calls or something.
