Mitt Corleone?

The Morning Jolt, yesterday:

“I believe in America”? That’s what you’re going with this cycle, governor? I’m sorry, you don’t get to quote “The Godfather” unless you’ve killed a bunch of your enemies while attending a baptism.

Laura Ingraham, today:

The response to Newt’s second coming in South Carolina was flawlessly orchestrated. Mitt hit hard at Monday’s debate, and did a mop-up operation on Thursday night. He marshaled the help of boosters and aggressive defenders in media and politics. When Tom DeLay emerged from forced retirement and Bob Dole from convalescence to lay waste to Gingrich, you know it was a coordinated hit Godfather fans should recognize. Gingrich was caught in a revolving door, bullets flying, with nowhere to go.

Who’s getting whacked on the massage table?

you go MITT! Newt's "historian" strategy for deflecting was squashed like a bug. the Goldman Sachs"comment is a thinly veiled demagoguery of "wall street types" of certain religion. terrible

"Who’s getting whacked on the massage table?" - it should be Norm Coleman. You've got to clean house within the family too so I guess maybe he'd be Carlo or Tessio.

Gingrich seemed to be deflated after trying to go after Wolf on a topic Newt had been hammering Romney on- release of tax records. Gingrich wanted to focus on the issues but Newt defined the issue when he was on the stump.

Why was Newt so deflated during the whole debate? Off meds? Or did his donors from the PAC order him to either win without the vitriol, which is classic Newt, or they would pull the contributions?

And that guy giving 10 million and maybe more to Newt. Newt said it was simply that the guy liked Newt's stance on Israel? What? That defies belief as all the candidates except Paul are extremely pro-Israel, including non-Romney Santorum. So, what was/is the real reason.

"I didn't get angry . . . I said to myself, this is the business we've chosen. So I didn't ask who gave the order, because it had nothing to do with business."

Is disgusting the way some people on the conservative media are defending Newt Gingrich. Gingrich is unelectable because he is an inmoral person and lack the character values that a President of the USA should have.

". He marshaled the help of boosters and aggressive defenders in media and politics."

We will see how many Fla. voters agree

"Who’s getting whacked on the massage table?"

I dunno, but I can't see it having a happy ending.

This is why the reputation of so many are sinking like rocks.
Conservatives entertaining conspiracy theories?

How about a genuine, understandable, reasoned, fear over a dreadful Gingrich Candidate brings sound minds to action and provide appropriate warnings?

Like the NR did just a few weeks ago prior to Iowa?

So many are following the most foolish right over a cliff. Fred Thompson just offered the most laughable, saying Drudge was rigged for Romney.

Palin is a comedian, making the term "establishment" into a joke. She says criticism of Newt is a vast conspiracy and unfair, while she say we need to further investigate the successful Private Sector Enterprise of Mr. Romney!

Wow, how embarrassing for us Conservatives...

If one reads the comments on a number of sites, you actually see the most absurd devotion to the garbage.

Levin is a prime example of the folly. This is the same character who pushed for a disaster in Delaware, basically handing Biden's old Senate Seat back to the Democrats. But while he pushed for that fiasco, he slandered the expression of Mr. Mirengoff who used to write for Powerline. It was ugly, and hardly ethical or Conservative.

The fashion is simply self destructive.

Gingrich cannot even be honest about his support for Rockefeller. He whines about everything, from no audience, to crying about unfair crowds, to negative ads? Gingrich is pathetic.

So many self serving voices, and it is all making a mockery out of the Conservative Movement.
