The Curse of the Commerce Secretary Continues
Good morning, Mr. President. Your commerce secretary, John Bryson, is in trouble for a series of car accidents in Los Angeles where
authorities found him alone and unconscious behind the wheel of his car. Bryson was treated at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters. Authorities said drugs or alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the crash. They said Bryson was cooperative. He was cited for felony hit and run but was not booked into jail because he had been admitted to the hospital. His condition was not known.
I wrote back in 2009 that between Bill Richardson “and Penny Pritzker, Commerce Secretary is turning into the Bermuda Triangle of the Obama cabinet.” (This was before Judd Gregg accepted the job and changed his mind.)
I’ll bet David Axelrod wishes Bryson would disappear right now.
