The Obama campaign is utterly convinced that the “full context” of Obama’s “you didn’t build that” comments are exculpatory. Mitt Romney and many of his supporters contend that the full context is worse, full of a sneering disdain for small business owners for erroneously believing they succeeded because they’re smart or because they work hard.

As a public service announcement, here’s the statement in context:

If Obama really meant “roads and bridges” when he said “you didn’t build that,” why didn’t he say “those” instead of “that”?
