Forty-Eight Percent Think Obama Aides Did Something Illegal or Unethical, but...

Text

These poll numbers don’t mean quite as much as they may seem:

Twelve percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. survey released Monday say Obama aides did something illegal, with another 36 percent feeling Obama aides didn’t act illegally but did do something unethical. Forty-three percent say no Obama aides did anything seriously wrong.

I note that Obama’s overall approval rating (pre-approval rating?) is still pretty darn high, higher than the percentage of Americans who voted for him. So even if they suspect his staff did something unethical (ignoring Blago’s request for a bribe, maybe?), they’re not letting that interfere with the warm, fuzzy feelings of hope and change . . .

Now, if twelve percent of Patrick Fitzgerald said that Obama aides did something illegal, it might mean something . . .
