Doughnuts for Rick Warren?

Text

Maybe we’re reaching a point of new civility in protests. This group, which opposes having Rick Warren give the invocation at Obama’s inauguration, wants protesters to send Dunkin’ Donuts cards to him, to mirror his response to those who protested his church:

“I have always treated them with respect…When the protesters came we served them water and donuts”

Now we can return the favor. It is the least we can do. Let’s send him donuts. Lots of ‘em.

It can be tough to find someone to deliver fresh donuts, but we can send him a Dunkin Donuts gift card. And the best part is that you can personalize it with your own image and message. (Play nice here!)

I wish my critics sent me gift cards.

Then again, maybe it’s an underhanded, subtle attempt to boost his cholesterol . . .

UPDATE: The site says it is unaffiliated with Dunkin’ Donuts, but boy, wouldn’t this be the guerrilla marketing coup of all time if it were . . .
