Over Here, Over There

It might seem like the forward strategy was a farce after the next terrorist attack here–unless we reflect on the attacks that might have happened, but didn’t, thanks to the forward strategy.

And it will seem like a farce unless we reflect on the fact that terror, and the threat of terror, is now a part of our lives, for the rest of our lives. This war will take a long time, but our time might run out any day.

Commentators can speed the process of reflection by educating people in these truths, not using hypotheticals to score opportunistic cheap shots.
