What drivel. Margaret Thatcher wasn’t Margaret Thatcher when she was elected. She was a milk snatcher, according to the left , but who knew she’d bash Johnny Gaucho? W wasn’t W when he was elected–he was a compassionate conservative who wanted to slide through four years giving handouts to churches and Mexican-Americans.

FDR–the Democrats have picked the weakest candidate before them (Mencken at the ‘32 Convention). Lincoln–the Republicans picked him because he has split a great many rails (George Templeton Strong, diary). Examples might be multiplied.

Speak your mind, make a difference. Work, hope. As Marcus Aurelius said, it’s up to you.
