The Corner

The one and only.

Andrew’s Query

These are scientists and professors in universities ranging from Texas to Missouri to Utah to Kansas to California. One in particular is a very big name, whose career has been clearly affected because of the stance taken . Another told me that papers, which were once almost routinely accepted for publishing in peer reviewed journals, are no longer accepted. Coincidence? I can’t reveal more because I was told these matters in confidence and don’t have permission to disclose identities. But I think the suppression of heterodox views in science on university campuses is as big a story as the suppression of conservative thought in the social sciences on university campuses.
