A story on the view of Alito from New Haven. I especially enjoyed this: “‘Sadly,’ said Professor Kronman, the former dean, ‘relations between Justice Thomas and the law school have not been as warm and cordial as I would wish them to be. . . . I believe that he felt, with whatever justification, that the school did not come out as strongly and consistently and institutionally in support of his nomination as he would have wished.’” Right. Yale Law School is terribly sad that it doesn’t have warmer relations with Justice Thomas. And Thomas’s complaint is that its support for his nomination wasn’t wholehearted enough. If you believe that, I’ve got a living Constitution to sell you.
